Bhutan 2023 Day 8 | Black Mountains | Tachog Lhakhang | Dra Karpo | Dochula Pass | Khuru

It's already Day 8 of our Bhutan trip! After breakfast, we played several rounds of Khuru, Bhutan's version of darts. After leaving the hotel, we stopped by a view deck to admire the breathtaking Black Mountains. We had a few magical moments that Easter Sunday. We then went to a roadside market where we tried local snacks, before taking another quick stop at Dochula Pass.

We had a buffet lunch at Thimphu, whose owner is the same as a restaurant I dined in last year. I then went ahead to Paro to visit Tachog Lhakhang, a private monastery, and learned about the renowned iron bridge builder. My last stop was Dra Karpo, a scared place, where I had an spiritual experience hiking together with pilgrims.
