Bournemouth sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Radu

Bournemouth have completed the signing of goalkeeper Andrei Radu from Inter Milan on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy.

The Romanian international will provide competition for Bourenmouth’s goalkeepers this season.

Chief executive Neill Blake said (via the club’s official website): “We are pleased to welcome Andrei to the club for the forthcoming season.

“Andrei arrives with experience in Italy and France’s top divisions, and he’ll provide strong competition to Neto and Darren Randolph.”

Radu progressed through Inter’s academy before debuting for the first team in 2016. He went on loan to Avellino and Genoa, and the latter club signed him permanently.

The 26-year-old became a permanent fixture for Genoa and impressed, prompting Inter to re-sign him.

However, he left Inter on loan to Cremonense and Auxerre last season.

Radu is Bournemouth’s latest summer signing as they seek to strengthen themselves and improve upon their 15th-place finish in the Premier League last season.

They hired Andoni Iraola as their new coach to bring in a new system, and the manager has strengthened his squad.

The Cherries have signed exciting central midfielder Hamed Junior Traore from Sassuolo.

The Ivorian international spent the second half of last season on loan at Bournemouth, and they have signed him permanently.

They have also brought in promising winger Justin Kluivert from AS Roma following an excellent loan spell at Valencia.

The Dutchman bagged six goals and created four big chances in 26 La Liga appearances last season.

They have also signed Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez from AZ Alkmaar. The full-back was one of the shining stars of the Eredivisie last season.

Romain Faivre jas joined from Lyon, although he has been loaned out to Lorient in France.

Bournemouth are building an exciting squad, and Cherries fans will be hopeful for what the season holds under Iraola.
