DMU's & Diesel Bitumen Freight Trains Passing Iron Bridge Accrington Frosty Winters Day 06/12/2023

Northern Diesel Multiple Units & Diesel Powered Bitumen Freight Trains are observed passing the Iron Bridge in Accrington on a cold and frosty Winters Day on the 6th of December 2023.

First we see the 2K66 service running from Accrington to Headbolt Lane (Liverpool), it was operated by Northern Class 156 DMU's Numbers 156426 and 156401.

This service was cancelled between Blackburn and Accrington due to late arrival of an inbound service and had been stopped short at Accrington, where it would have made use of the emergency cross over in order to change from the Down East Lancashire track to the Up east Lancashire track.

We then see the 6E44 service running from Colas Ribble Rail Preston to Haverton Total Colas, it was operated by Colas Class 70 Diesel Locomotive Number 70815.
