Sheffield United do look dangerous on the odd occasion they manage to wrestle possession back and find their way into the final third, but Chelsea aren't unduly troubled this time as the likes of Max Lowe and John Lundstram are unable to get a shot away.

Chilwell is looking to get in behind Bogle whenever possible during this opening half an hour, but the former Derby right-back is alert as he is forced to concede the corner.

Bogle does just enough to force Chilwell to head well over the crossbar after Azpilicueta's cross picks out the England left-back.

It was sloppy from Fleck initially to lose the ball and Reece James kept the attack alive after Werner's low cross from the byline had been cleared.

Giroud, Werner and Kovacic all link-up well for Chelsea, with Chilwell teeing up Mount for a shot that is blocked brilliantly by Kean Bryan.

Chilwell's cross from wide on the left is deflected behind by Bogle and Chelsea have a corner, which is promptly cleared.

Jorginho then beats Fleck in impressive fashion and Chilwell's next cross is seen behind by Basham.

Giroud looks to have picked up a knock, but nothing serious.

Jorginho and Kovacic are busily attempting to pull the strings for Chelsea as we head towards the interval, but Tuchel's men are still struggling to create much of note.

Deadlock broken!

Werner combines nicely again with Kovacic and Chilwell, getting to the byline and cutting the ball back perfectly for Mount to brilliantly sweep emphatically into the bottom corner.

Mason Mount's goal shortly before half-time has Thomas Tuchel's Blues on course for a third successive Premier League victory that would lift them up to fifth in the table.
