The Shropshire Way | Stages 6-8 | Solo Wild Camping | 4K

A two day trip on Stages, 8, 7, and 6 of The Shropshire Way, in July 2023.

The Shropshire Way is an approximately 200 mile trail, around the county of Shropshire, in England. I started hiking this trail, mostly in day hikes, in October 2022.

The stretch between Ironbridge and Ludlow was the last 34 miles that I needed to complete the trail. I took a bus to Ironbridge on Saturday, camped overnight on Brown Clee Hill (Shropshire's highest point), and then got the train home from Ludlow, on completion of the trail, on Sunday.

Total hiking distance: 38.7 miles (62.3 km).
Total elevation gain: 5,781 feet (1,762 m).
