Tŷ Hotel Newport Official Opening

The TŶ HOTEL NEWPORT had its official opening today (Sunday 2nd June) and has set new sustainability standards as the largest all-electric hotel in Wales.

With 146 bedrooms, Tŷ Hotel Newport is the only hotel in Wales with more than 100 rooms operating without any natural gas, and among only a select number of large hotels across the United Kingdom to run on all-electric energy.

The new hotel opened in time for the Royal College of Nursing Annual Congress which will be one of the largest association conferences ever held in Wales takes place at ICC Wales during the ensuing week.

Performing the official opening was Jacquelin Davies, the Board Chair of the Royal College of Nursing Wales, as well as dignitaries representing the City of Newport.
