WOW Sounds: Aliah Sheffield

The first of our WOW UK Festival 2021 WOW Sounds: American Tik-tok star @nikkialiah (Aliah Sheffield) performing Earth Is Ghetto, which has become the anthem for lockdown. Aliah Sheffield was born in the city of Newark, NJ but was raised in Savannah, Georgia. No matter where she was, it was always within her to sing. With a lot of muses to be inspired by, her influences covered a wide range—Deniece Williams, Donna Hathaway, Aretha Franklin, and Patti LaBelle, to name a few. She expressed herself through various instruments in her youth before being encouraged to explore the piano, it was then that she perfected her songwriting abilities; fusing genres, particularly soul and R&B. We hope you find her song 'Earth Is Ghetto' as inspiring and catchy as we do!
