Drive through Ironbridge, Shropshire UK 9/2/21
Описание
Ironbridge, or the Iron Bridge from where it gets its name is the first cast Iron structure in the World built in 1779 in this very area that iron was first cast within in the Severn Gorge UNESCO World heritage site. Ironbridge and it's newer town of Telford which now encapsulates it is often noted for being the birthplace of industry, the original home of the British Industrial Revolution and famed for forward thinking. This is also Darwin country. Charles Darwin was born only 20 miles away. The World first inclined plane was less than 5 miles to the North with 2 newer versions still exist in the Gorge and the first precursor to modern Skyscrapers and towers is in a 20 mile radius of here too.
